Integrations in a Conversation
An Integration is a tool of your company that the agent can work with, such as a BI tool. Admins register it for the Tenant (Manage Integrations), and the agent then calls its tools in your Conversations, as you.
Which Integrations a Conversation has
Section titled “Which Integrations a Conversation has”When you start a new Conversation, a picker lists every Integration you can use, all selected. Each entry shows its name, whether it belongs to your Tenant or to you, and whether you are connected to it. Deselect the ones the agent shouldn’t use in this Conversation; an Integration you aren’t connected to yet stays selectable. Use the keyboard or a screen reader as you like: every entry is a checkbox.
When you send the first message, the selection becomes fixed for the rest of the Conversation, and it shows above the Conversation, with “Unavailable” for one you can no longer use. Without a choice, the Conversation gets every Integration you can use. An Integration an admin registers later is available from your next Conversation on. One that is deactivated or taken from you stops working from the next Turn on, and the agent tells you if your request needs it.
What a call looks like
Section titled “What a call looks like”Each time the agent calls a tool of an Integration, the call shows as a card among the steps of its answer. The card names the Integration and the tool, for example Metabase: Run a query, and says how it went: running, done, failed or cancelled. Open the card to see the inputs the agent sent and what the Integration returned. Only you see them. The Audit Log of your admins records that a call happened, never its inputs or its result.
If you stop a Turn while a tool is running, the call is cancelled. A result that is very long is cut, and the agent is told so.
An Integration that can’t be reached
Section titled “An Integration that can’t be reached”If an Integration doesn’t answer, the Turn goes on without its tools. A notice above the answer names the Integration, and the agent tells you in its answer that it couldn’t use it. Ask again later.
What the agent may change
Section titled “What the agent may change”Tools that its server declares as only reading run at once. Every other tool, including one whose server says nothing about it, pauses the Turn for your Approval before each call.
